David J. Colella, the Founder and CEO of NerdsToGo, is a man on a mission. What mission? Bring the most reliable IT and technical support services to residential and business customers across the United States.

He wants you to rejoice as the Nerd gets to work efficiently fixing your problem. That’s his dream, and he’s living it!

Since founding the NerdsToGo franchise in Guilford, Connecticut, David has been spreading the NerdsToGo philosophy — that tech support services don’t have to be painful or dull — one city and region at a time. Working in close partnership with his franchisees, David has brought enthusiasm and joy to the often somber world of IT and tech support, while also delivering industry-leading tech support to local communities around the country, redefining what “tech support” can mean to his customers.

Just because David is a warm, enthusiastic, and committed to customer service, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a serious side too — quite the opposite. Before he became the driving force behind NerdsToGo, David had spent over fifteen years in the trenches of technology sales, marketing and management. He began his career at IBM, where he served in both sales and management roles. After IBM, he moved on to executive positions at other technology companies where he built teams and successfully provided IT systems for global Fortune 500 companies. This experience included serving as President and CEO of WebInFlight, a technology integration company that serviced United Airlines and US Airways.

These days, his focus is on building the NerdsToGo business into a nation-wide leader in on-site residential and commercial IT services. His achievements so far include:


  • Growing NerdsToGo from just a concept into a multi-million dollar computer services company with nationwide operations
  • Successfully franchising the business to make NerdsToGo a household name in the communities that it services
  • Developing the processes, procedures, and methodologies that have made NerdsToGo a replicable success for franchisees
  • Launching and managing a sales strategy that has brought the NerdsToGo brand to numerous cities and regions
  • Bringing IT and tech support services to over 50,000 regular customers


David's executive drive, vision, and leadership skills are the “secret sauce” that’ve enabled NerdsToGo to flourish as a national brand in such a short time.
