A member of my family had horrible service from NerdsToGo in Guilford. He brought his laptop in for repair. He paid a $50 diagnostic fee that could be applied to a repair. They assured him this was the way to go rather than buying a new laptop. The cost of his repair was over $500. The lap top was in their shop for well over a week; when it was picked up it had to be retuned the next day because the lap top was still having the same issues. He was told he'd have to pay for another diagnostic fee; he refused, but they did take it back for repair. He was told almost a week later that the laptop was now repaired. He picked it up, and again the laptop still wasn't fixed correctly. He asked for the manager, but was constantly told the manager was not available. He left the laptop again (3rd time) to be repaired, this time they told him it was a "problem with the wire" He came back the next weekend after returning from school to finally pick up the computer. He's been back at school, but the laptop has no sound. He did notify them about this problem, and was told he can bring it back again to be serviced. I would never recommend that anyone goes to NerdsToGo in Guilford, CT. There are many other computer repair shops in our area that have expert repair people available to make repairs correctly and efficiently without charging such an absorbent fee, and in the end still having a laptop that isn't working correctly. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else when you need a repair.I am happy to report that NerdsToGo is graciously servicing the laptop again for the no sound issue. They are doing everything to make up for the poor prior service. I must respect their efforts to turn what was a negative experience into something positive. Thank you NerdsToGo.

Nerds to Go came pretty quickly when I called, and the tech, Matt Rader (whom I'd met several times on similar missions) handled the problem quickly and clearly. He also gave me some additional advice, which I appreciated. I've used Nerds several times and have been very satisfied.

Huge shout out to these guys who just saved my butt today big time!I had cracked my screen on an otherwise good 6S iphone. I had them replace it, and then started having other major issues. Phone would shut off and try endlessly rebooting, but failing. I'm an engineer and figured it had to be their work, or the new screen. I started to get frustrated with my experience, but I went back in and calmly explained the problem, left the phone with them for a couple hours. These guys tore the phone apart, did their troubleshooting, and by the time I got back it was fixed! My phone is my lifeline for my job/livelihood, and these guys fixed it, and didn't charge me anything extra. Saved my butt, my phone, my job, and the relationship. Thank you Nerds!

It is very overpriced! A charge for an evaluation, a charge for hourly labor, charge for parts, even a charge for data transfers! Very sad considering they're a small business meant to serve families

I first called geek squad but they said that they don't fix computers that get a virus. Then I called nerds to go. If it wasn't for nerds to go, I would of had to buy and thousand dollar computer.

I bought an old Windows 98 machine with a floppy Drive so it would run a program I had via floppy. I couldn't get it to connect and communicate with my Panasonic printer but, the techs got it fixed fast and for a reasonable price and even tested it out with my printer before I picked it up to make sure it would print. Everything works fine and i'd use them again.

All great experiences. I tried a lot of different computer technicians before I found NerdToGo, so I was pleasantly surprised when Matthew showed up. Matthew is fantastic. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and quick at troubleshooting/ effecting repairs, he's also very easy to contact. He even responded to me while on vacation. Reliable, prompt, consistent -- Five stars!

Very reliable, prompt and expert service. Fixed issues with my computer I was not aware of as well as the ones I made the call for. Optimized my connectivity and search options and made sure all of my essential programs are updated to the most current version. Also gave me a heads up on what changes to expect in the near future from some software providers and their related programs. Have been using Ners to Go for four years and have had uniformly excellent experience each time.

I had a frozen computer and thought I would loose all my important information. Nerds to Go to the rescue. He was on time and very informative on my options. Within 5 days I was up and running again! I would definitely recommend there services and will use them again.

The guys at nerds to go were very considerate when my wife brought in my daughters computer in after she accidentally spilled water on it. Instead of telling her it was dead while she was crying they called later. They then sent us suggestions on where to replace the computer at a good price. Thank you for your help even when there was no fixing the laptop.

I brought my new laptop in the was so full from transferring old stuff over that it was freezing up. The Nerds sorted through everything, deleted duplicates and got me up and running! I highly recommend using The Nerds To Go!
I had to use Nerds to go for the first time recently. I was extremely satisfied with the work Keith did for me. He was the nicest young man and certainly knows what he is doing. I would give him five stars, and I am happy to know I now have a Company I can depend on when I need them!
I would highly recommend Nerds To Go. They handle all of our IT Problems at Isaksen Solar. I can not stress how simple they make the process and how good they are at dealing with all things computer/ It Related. If you are having any sort of computer issues, you will not regret calling them.
The guys here are absolutely amazing! Keith and Ben are some of the nicest guys around, and I would recommend going here to anyone at all, from one nerd to another! I brought my laptop in as it was having issues overheating, so we thought. They fixed up a few issues I DID have with the laptop, but a few weeks later I noticed the issue hasn’t been resolved. In the end, I brought it in again, and they looked it over for about a week trying to figure out what was wrong, only to find out it was a manufacturer’s error. They still tried to fix it after this, Ben especially, but could not, as the company’s error made it too risky for them to keep trying without possibly resetting my computer.These two did all they could, and on top of that, to go above and beyond, they offered to loan me a laptop I could use if I had to send mine to the manufacturer to be repaired. Being a college student, if I had to send my computer out to the manufacturer, and be without a computer for some time, I would have some issues doing my classwork. So, these two offering to loan me a laptop means the world to me, and truly shows how dedicated to the customer these guys at Nerds To Go are!Keith and Ben are exceptional employees of Nerds To Go. They will definitely have my business as long as they are here, and I’ll be sure to recommend them to all my friends!
