About Us

Philip grew up in Breckenridge, Texas earning money in high school as a welder/fabricator in his father’s oilfield welding shop/supply. He spent his teen years in that shop rebuilding and painting his friend’s bicycles, go-karts, motorcycles & cars. He’s remained quite comfortable with the mechanical world while learning the digital world; travelling globally and building a successful career selling advanced technology solutions to customers.

Philip graduated from Texas A&M in 1985 with a BS in Industrial Distribution. Moving to Dallas after graduation, he worked in telecommunications sales at MCI Long Distance Services while earning an MBA in International Marketing from the University of Dallas in 1992. After his MBA, Philip spent much of the 1990’s at NEC in Dallas as a marketing manager, working on early video collaboration offerings. In 1998 he began a 15-year journey with Cisco Systems which took him out of Texas and greatly broadened his view of the world with postings to Singapore and New York City.

After New York, Philip landed in North Carolina in 2006, where he’s worked for Cisco, Avaya and most recently IBM. He’s blissfully married to wife Paula and they reside near Wake Forest, a suburban community just north of Raleigh.

They have four sons and two grandchildren. She’s a rare Raleigh native who’s worked as a Registered Nurse for 30+ years. The majority of her nursing career has been spent in Women and Infant Services at Wake Med and, after retiring from there in 2019, has turned her side-gig into a 2nd career at LunaSol Med Spa in Wake Forest as a Nurse Injector.

Philip and Paula enjoy travel, especially to overseas destinations.

Philip also enjoys building and racing FPV quadcopter drones, and online video gaming with his sons – a true “Nerd”.
