Hired Nerds-to-go to come diagnose my desktop. After calling, Dylan showed up within the hour, kept me updated on his ETA which was super helpful being that I have clients come in and out. He was able to diagnose the issue promptly and offer me a range of options and solutions. My computer was back at my desk and back in business in no time. Dylan was super nice, super professional, super knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend using them. The price was absolutely reasonable to fit in with anyone budget. It’s well worth it.

I had two great experiences with Nerds to Go, and highly recommend them!I needed to upgrade my wireless Internet system and wanted to purchase my own equipment. White came to my home and recommended the equipment I needed. When I received it, he came back out and helped me install it and get everything up and running.When I upgraded my television, White came back out and helped me set it up and walked me through all of the settings.Very impressed with everything they helped me with and highly recommend them!

I have a laptop that I only use when I travel and over the years it has gotten sluggish and problematic. I always managed to work around the issues it had and tolerate the bad performance. I was getting ready for a trip and I always get out my laptop early to get all the updates, make sure it will start, etc. This time it did not come on, no worry, I have seen this before and have managed to it to going … but not this time. It was not stone dead but had a “system” issue.First let me say personal computers have been part of my life for about 35 years and I have never taken a computer to a repair shop, but I knew I did not have what I need to trouble shoot my laptop.After a quick Google search, I found NerdsToGo Computer Service near me and went there right away. When I arrived, the shop was in full COVID-19 mode with a phone number to call on the door. We chatted on the phone and I was told what they needed and how to get my computer from my hands into their hands.About two hours later I received a text with a diagnosis and a course of action and the cost. We had already discussed the possibility of it being too costly to warrant a repair. The problem was a failing hard drive, the solution was to replace the hard drive with a two-terabyte solid state hard drive. The cost was reasonable and then I told them to make the repair. A little over an hour later I received a text to tell me the computer was ready for pickup at my convenience.Due to having a non mechanical hard drive, my laptop is faster and runs better than when it was new.I am very satisfied with NerdsToGo Computer Service.

I purchased a new computer and was not comfortable transferring my data from the old to the new. I brought both to Nerds to Go on Kingsland and they did an outstanding job making the transfer. They also prepared the old for trade-in. The whole process took about a day & a half and I was given the pricing up front. In addition the whole process was of a non-contact nature. We were met outside the shop by the tech, all wearing masks and when the work was complete the computers were put in the car and away we went.Overall, an outstanding experience and I would highly recommend Nerds to Go on Kingsland.

I took my laptop to be repaired because it had black screened. I received a report on the issues a couple days later and a quote for repair. I needed a new motherboard and battery. I felt the quoted price was fair and a lot less than buying a new computer. The service was very professional and my computer has been working like a charm since I picked it back up. I would highly recommend taking your computers here for service and repair.

Had Dylan come out and troubleshoot my WiFi network in our house. He was able to identify the problem and give me an immediate solution and then can be done in a second phase to help boost the performance and maximize the speeds and coverage inside and outside the house. He was very professional and was able to make sure that we fix the problem as best as we could now until the parts come in for the second phase. I highly recommend NerdsToGo for your WiFi and computer needs. Everyone from the office manager to the tech were courteous and worked with my schedule.

I went to NerdsToGo to get them to open up my PC and do a extensive cleaning and was able to do it the same day and they threw in my mouse and keyboard cleaning complementary to help me out. They also answered questions I had about what they saw an aspect of what could be upgraded in the future and other suggestions upgrading my keyboard. It was very informative and went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t just feel valued my part of the nerds to go family. I appreciate the service and will definitely be back.

I suspected a fan was going bad on my Alienware 17 laptop as it started making a hideous grinding noise. The "nerds" at Nerds to Go were anything but. Jennifer was the first person I spoke with. She told me upfront about the diagnostic charge and how, since we're in the middle of a pandemic, it would be a non-contact transaction. I dropped my laptop off in the morning and Rafael texted me back stating that the fans were indeed failing and needed to be replaced. the repairs were not prohibitively expensive so I asked them to proceed. My fans came in earlier than expected and repair was completed ahead of schedule. Exceptional service! I definitely recommend this place for computer related issues.

Trying to deal with COVID 19 is stressful enough but when the screen and camera on my daughter’s laptop she uses for school work decided to stop working Nerds to Go really came through and saved the day. They were the only place I could fine to do the repair during the stay at home order/lock down. I was impressed with their process to keep them and myself safe. Diagnosis and repair was quick and a I felt repair was fair. Also appreciate after paying for repair they called back to say they forgot to apply a coupon they had and adjusted cost. Nerds To Go diagnosed an expensive problem with my Apple MacBook Pro that was a recall issue in late 2016. They provided me the information to speak with Apple about and I was then able to get my issue repaired by Apple at no cost. Prior to the NerdsToGo diagnosis, the Apple repair would have been a $550 repair vs the $60 (approx) diagnostic fee. Greatly appreciate NerdsToGo! Highly recommend!

So my son got a new gaming computer. Or new to him. It was refurbished which I was assured was a good choice. Within two weeks the hard drive just completely died. I was completely out of my element. I just so happened to call nerds to go because we were in the middle of quarantine and I needed help. They pretty much diagnosed the problem over the phone. I did a drop off on Friday and they had it back to me on Monday with a complete explanation of what happened and what they did yo fix it. My two experiences with Nerds To Go were excellent. Both issues related to recovering files from storage media; one a HDD and one from some old 3.5" floppy discs. They were honest and forthright in their estimates of what might or might not happen. In both cases they were successful in getting my files off the media. They were professional, courteous and very helpful in every interaction and communication. I recommend them highly if you have computer issues.

My Windows 10 laptop began giving an error message instead of doing the urgent Windows Update I was expecting - very concerning! I have some technical background with PCs, but my own trouble-shooting failed to fix the problem. I took it to Nerds To Go based on a friend's recommendation and good reviews on another site. They fixed it for what I thought was a very reasonable price. It did take longer than I originally expected, but it turned out there were good technical reasons, and I'm very happy! Very pleasant experience at Nerds To Go, Katy - all on the staff I dealt with (Tony, Dillon, Witt, & Jennifer) were pleasant, helpful, and seemed very competent. I highly recommend them!!

An awesome experience. The screen on my laptop cracked after dropping it. I expected the cost to repair it would equal the cost of a new laptop. We were delighted at the cost to repair the screen and within one week Nerds To Go had it fixed. We highly recommend them.

I had high expectations going into this. Took my custom rig in to have it diagnosed. Staff was super friendly and price for diagnosis was reasonable. Very quick turn around and convenient text updates. Thus why they get at least 3 stars. I do my pc work myself so based on their diagnosis I took my build home to replace the motherboard which they had determined was the cause of the problem only to find that my processor had been pretty beaten up. So many pins bent that its basically useless and will need to be replaced now too.

My laptop began booting directly into BIOS and I had no idea why. I couldn't get it to follow the boot order and I was way out of my element. I took the unit in with an external drive to back up my stuff in case it was done. Tony greeted me immediately with a welcoming, friendly smile. He inquired and I told him my experience. Tony looked me right in the eye and said, "Your hard drive may be gone." I took a deep breathe and realized my mistake of not backing up my hard drive. He gave me my options and the pricing... it was reasonable and I was on my way. That same day he let me know they were able to recover it and offered to back up and reinstall if desired. Jennifer began communicating with me and was again, a very pleasant person. The service was great, I have a working computer again, and the pricing was very fair. I highly recommend Nerds to Go. Recently had some problem with my home computer and while I am pretty good with computers this was something out of my expertise. Did some looking for local company to help and found Nerds to Go. Brought in my computer and discussed the fix. Everyone was very polite, helpful and open upfront on what would be required along with cost. I cannot say enough good things about these guys! First of all, I hadn't even gotten home from dropping off my computer when they contacted me with the initial diagnostic. There were two options for dealing with my issue, and after discussing it with me, they recommended the LESS EXPENSIVE one - these are people you can trust! This is my second visit to them; I've dealt with four different people all told and each one is professional, pleasant, and they take the time to make sure they have the full picture. Plus they have two adorable pups who hang out there. I highly recommend them!

Did not try to sell me a new one even though he had one, but did suggest a place I might go that was having a sale. Very warm, courteous and helpful. I took my laptop to see if it could be fixed and the owner of the store was very helpful. He took a few minutes to check it and advised me it could be fixed; however it would be least expensive if I would invest in a new one since mine was rather old. Ok, they are newbies, but their prices are way out of line. I guess their franchise fees and overhead are what is the cause of their sky high rates. They should have realized that in Katy Texas, you can get experts to clean out your Windows computer and make it run just like the day you bought it, save all your programs, and data for $40. Oh well, they should have done more market research before they bought the Nerds franchise.

Nerds To Go saved me a BIG headache! When they were checking out my computer, they noticed my hard drive was making a clicking sound which was an indicator that it was going out. They were able to make a complete backup and save all my data. Then they replaced my hard drive and restored my data!! So glad they caught that before my computer crashed. Not only that, Tony made it simply easy working around my crazy schedule so I had as little down time as possible! I love his happiness guarantee as well!
